All new members are required to play 3 rounds to establsh their handicap. After 3 rounds, their intitial handicap calculation is done using only the best (1) score of the 3 rounds. This will continue to be the case through the first 5 rounds. After round 6 is complete, the calculation will then be based on an average of the best 3 rounds for round 6, 7, 8 and 9. When a player has completed 10 (or more) rounds, the calculation will be based on an average of the best 5 of the last 10 rounds. Calculations use ESC scores and computed in a way similar to the USGA standards. Handicap Index = ((Gross (ESC) Score - 66.8) X 113) /122 |

If a player moves forward to the SKY tees, 4 strokes will be deducted from their handicap and their round 'counter' will start over at 0. The rule above will then apply just as if they are new members. They will however, be able to participate in the weekly games since they still have a handicap |

Note: "Equitable Score Rules" (ESC) = (Double Bogey + Handicap Strokes (dots)) . |
